Who we're looking for

Toyota's AP Shared Services Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Senior Accounting Analyst.

The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure month-end close and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) internal controls are completed timely and accurately.

Reporting to the Manager, AP Shared Services, the person in this role will support the AP Accounting department's objective to support department & division goals and perform core accounting functions to achieve monthly deliverables.

What you'll be doing

Analyze, prepare, and record key monthly and quarterly journal entries for payables to ensure that the general ledger is accurate, and entries are recorded in a timely manner.

Prepare and present to management monthly financial analysis covering account fluctuation analysis and other ad hoc analysis requests.

Prepare account reconciliations and supporting documentation to support key SOX and internal controls.

Work closely with key manufacturing plants and divisions to provide general ledger support as needed.

Responsible for working closely with external auditors to support quarterly/annual financial and SOX audits by providing supporting schedules and responding to audit inquiries and ad hoc requests.

Promote identification, development, and implementation of process improvements to support controls and efficiencies over accounting processes.

What you bring

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.

5+ years of experience working with accounting principles and financial reporting concepts

5+ years of experience supporting consolidation, month-end close, and/or financial reporting processes

Prior experience analyzing financial data, perform reconciliations, and identify/report issues accurately

Proven experience showcasing attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a structured reporting environment

Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across internal stakeholders and respond to reporting inquiries

Proficient in MS Excel (i.e.: pivot tables, v-lookup, etc.)

Prior experience performing flux analysis

Added bonus if you have

CPA or progress toward CPA certification

Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS reporting concepts

Consolidation and/or Intercompany Experience

Experience with SAP S4 HANA
