JOB DESCRIPTION
Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $75,000.00-130,000.00 annually.
TMZ Sports is looking for a dynamic Producer who can break stories, write compelling copy, and become a familiar face on our television show. This isn't a behind-the-scenes role-we're looking for someone with strong editorial instincts, a great personality, and the confidence to regularly appear on camera, delivering sports news in an engaging, authentic way. The ideal candidate is an aggressive story hunter, an exceptional writer, and a natural communicator who knows how to connect with the audience.

Responsibilities
  • Enterprise, pitch, and produce original sports stories with speed and accuracy.
  • Write compelling, fact-based copy for TMZ Sports across digital
  • Regularly appear on TMZ Sports on TV, delivering stories with confidence, personality, and credibility.
  • Develop and cultivate relationships with sources to generate exclusive stories and breaking news.
  • Monitor sports, entertainment, and social media trends to identify stories before everyone else.
  • Collaborate with producers, editors, to create social content
  • React quickly to breaking news while maintaining TMZ's editorial standards and voice.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience producing and writing in a digital or sports news environment.
  • Exceptional news judgment and strong writing skills.
  • Proven ability to enterprise original stories and break news.
  • Comfortable and confident appearing on camera with a natural, engaging presence.
  • Dynamic personality with the ability to connect with viewers and tell stories conversationally.
  • Deep knowledge of the sports landscape, athletes, leagues, and the stories driving conversation.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven newsroom while juggling multiple priorities.
  • Strong understanding of social media and emerging platforms as news-gathering tools.
