Job description

Weekly outpatient therapy isn't always enough, and a trip to the ER isn't the only answer. Patients and their families rely on Compass Health Center when in crisis - every day, we help people overcome depression, anxiety, suicidality, obsessions/compulsions, trauma, chronic pain, and other obstacles in order for our patients to live freely.
About This Role
Compass Health Center is seeking a TMS Psychiatrist to join our team in Westmont, IL.
We are seeking an Adult Psychiatrist who is passionate about addressing the current nationwide behavioral health crisis, while leading Compass' first offering of TMS in the western suburbs of Chicago. This position will champion and lead our TMS offering and treat patients in our PHP and IOP programs.

What You'll Do

  • Provide initial TMS sessions to patients, and support and oversee provision of additional TMS sessions provided by TMS clinical staff.
  • Coordinate, consult and champion TMS with Compass providers throughout system who treat PHP and IOP patients.
  • Conducting psychiatric evaluations for Compass patients, establishing diagnoses, prescribing medication, and providing therapy and provide TMS when appropriate to outpatients
  • Collaborating with family therapists, individual therapists, nurses, and other psychiatry team members. Leading the treatment teams to promote better outcomes for our patients
  • Collaboration with outpatient providers, promoting and advocating for continuity of care
  • Championing and Alignment with Compass' mission and core values with a foundation in compassion and science, breaking down barriers and accelerating access to mental health care in pursuit of optimal patient experiences and outcomes
  • Writing psychiatric clinical records to document all patient contact
  • Participate in Utilization Review/Quality Assurance activities
  • Participating in professional development activities
Who You Are
  • Allopathic or Osteopath Degree (MD or DO); BE or BC Adult Psychiatrist
  • Licensed or ability to obtain Illinois Board of Medical Practice Licensure
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Illinois
  • Skilled in the psychopharmacology and the evaluation and treatment of mental illness
  • Excellent communication skills and the desire to work in a collaborative, team-based environment
  • TMS experience
