What is a TMS coordinator?

TMS Coordinators, or Transportation Management System Coordinators, are professionals responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of a transportation management system within a company. They ensure the efficient scheduling, routing, and tracking of shipments, coordinate with carriers and internal teams, and troubleshoot any issues related to the transportation process. Their role is vital in optimizing logistics, reducing costs, and ensuring on-time delivery of goods. Additionally, TMS Coordinators may also analyze transportation data and recommend process improvements to enhance supply chain performance.

What are the typical daily responsibilities of a TMS coordinator in a logistics company?

A TMS Coordinator typically manages and monitors transportation management systems to ensure timely and cost-effective shipment of goods. Daily tasks include scheduling carrier pickups, tracking shipments, resolving delivery exceptions, and communicating with both carriers and internal teams to address issues. Clarity Clinic is seeking an individual who will be certified to deliver TMS Therapy under the supervision of our medical directors, staff physicians, and center manager.

This full-time, onsite-only position, located at our Arlington Heights Location. This position has a set schedule of 12pm-8:30pm Monday-Friday.

In this role, you will:

  • Collaboration - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, neurologists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for TMS patients.
  • Communication Skills - Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding TMS procedures, benefits, potential side effects, and ongoing treatment plans.
  • Continuing Education - Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements, research, and best practices in the field of TMS through ongoing professional development and participation in relevant training programs or conferences.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping - Maintain accurate and thorough records of patient information, treatment plans, and outcomes, following established protocols to ensure confidentiality and facilitate continuity of care.
  • Patient Care - Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and a patient-centered approach in providing care to individuals undergoing TMS treatment, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns or questions.
  • Problem-solving - Proactively identify and troubleshoot challenges or complications that may arise during TMS sessions, utilizing critical thinking skills to determine appropriate courses of action.
  • Safety Compliance - Adhere to strict safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients during TMS sessions, including proper placement of electromagnets and monitoring equipment throughout the procedure.
  • Technical Expertise - Possess a strong understanding of the principles and operation of TMS equipment, as well as the ability to set up and calibrate the machinery properly.
  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance - Assess equipment functionality, identify potential technical issues, and perform routine maintenance tasks to maintain the optimal performance of TMS equipment.
