Job Description
- Title: UNIX Administrator
- Location: Sacramento, CA
SCOPE OF WORK:
- Administration of AIX/RedHat Enterprise servers in UNIX infrastructure environment, including patching/updating per standard schedule
- Provision AIX/RedHat virtual server builds in PowerVM/VMware
- Working with customers both internal and external to troubleshoot incidents
- Maintain documentation and diagrams associated with UNIX infrastructure environment
Technical Requirements
- Experience with system build process and procedures in a virtualized environment
- Experience with troubleshooting of AIX/Red Hat based environment
- Experience with the creation of monitoring capabilities to assist in troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and monitoring of the UNIX based environment.
- Experience with the migration of RHEL 5 machines to RHEL 7
- Experience with IBM PowerVM virtualization environment (AIX)
- Experience with VMware server system administration (RHEL)
