Job Description
  • Title: UNIX Administrator
  • Location: Sacramento, CA

SCOPE OF WORK:

  • Administration of AIX/RedHat Enterprise servers in UNIX infrastructure environment, including patching/updating per standard schedule
  • Provision AIX/RedHat virtual server builds in PowerVM/VMware
  • Working with customers both internal and external to troubleshoot incidents
  • Maintain documentation and diagrams associated with UNIX infrastructure environment

Technical Requirements

  • Experience with system build process and procedures in a virtualized environment
  • Experience with troubleshooting of AIX/Red Hat based environment
  • Experience with the creation of monitoring capabilities to assist in troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and monitoring of the UNIX based environment.
  • Experience with the migration of RHEL 5 machines to RHEL 7
  • Experience with IBM PowerVM virtualization environment (AIX)
  • Experience with VMware server system administration (RHEL)
