Description of Job Within the Division of Motor Vehicles, (DMV), the Vehicle Services Unit exists to ensure compliance with the laws that govern the vehicle title and registration process as outlined in the Colorado Revised Statute and rules and regulations that delineate the vehicle title and registration functions set forth in the Colorado Code of Regulations, the International Registration Plan and in accordance with DPPA requirements.
The Vehicle Services Unit is seeking a Vehicle Services Clerk (Administrative Assistant II) to ensure all applications for vehicle titles and registrations are issued pursuant to Colorado Revised Statutes, rule and federal law, the International Registration Plan and motor vehicle record searches are completed in accordance with DPPA requirements. VSU Title Clerk duties include, but are not limited to: Communicate a thorough working knowledge of vehicle title and registration statutes and departmental rules and regulations to taxpayers and governmental agencies Ensure the proper registration credentialing, reporting, and payment of fees for applicant accounts Receive and verify payments, including researching and resolving out of balance conditions Scan all documents processed into the appropriate accounts Provide copies of documents regarding motor vehicle ownership to government agencies, state county motor vehicle offices, tow operators, and repair shops Other duties as assigned. The ideal applicant brings their customer service experience and their strong attention to detail to this job every day to ensure comprehensive information exchange, provided in a thorough, professional manner with every support transaction.

Employee may be required, on occasion, to work from home for brief periods of time. In such instances staff member will be responsible to provide and maintain a home office or other suitable remote work location as well as internet and a secure Wi-Fi connection
All performance expectations, productivity, and policy adherence requirements apply to remote work from home in exactly the same manner as they are to employees who are currently on site. Class Code & Classification Description: G3A3XX ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT II MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Experience Only: Two (2) years of relevant experience in General Clerical and/or Call Center work experience General Clerical work experience is typically performed by office clerks and/or administrative assistants this includes, but is not limited to tasks such as: Experience providing exceptional customer service in the call center and/or online; interfacing with a variety of people from many levels within the organization and community.
Data Entry including: entering information into a program or database (appointments, contact information, customer records) Regular, daily work responsibilities utilizing equipment and software used in offices (E-Mail, Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Apps, etc.) Regular, daily work responsibilities utilizing computer systems, scanners, printers, copiers, fax machines and other technologies Typing professional emails, letters, reports, briefings, forms, memoranda, etc. Reviewing and comparing data for accuracy and completeness. Gathering specified information and compiling routine reports OR Education and Experience: A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in General Clerical and/or Call Center work experience equal to two (2) years Document this experience in your application IN DETAIL, as your experience will not be inferred or assumed

Preferred Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess the following skills: Two plus years working in a complex, high volume Call Center. Experience working with sensitive information of a confidential nature.
Career progression in a general clerical and/or customer service position. Well-developed, professional written and verbal communication skills Conditions of Employment with the CDOR: Employees are in a position of public trust in the performance of their job duties and must operate in a manner that maintains the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and public confidence. As a condition of employment with the CDOR, all personnel must file all necessary Colorado Individual Income Tax (CIIT) returns and pay tax obligations, therefore all employees must undergo a pre-employment evaluation of their tax records/accounts to ensure compliance with this policy.
Final candidates must also complete a successful background investigation and reference check prior to appointment. Certain positions based on duties may require scheduled background investigations. Pursuant to the Universal Driving Standards Policy, any worker who will be expected to drive a State-owned vehicle is responsible for maintaining a safe driving record and a valid driver license prior to driving any State-owned vehicle.
To be compliant with the new fleet vehicle policy, Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs) will be pulled for review for workers who: Have an assigned State fleet vehicle Are required to operate a vehicle as part of the position Utilize a State fleet vehicle as a pool vehicle Minimum Qualification Screening A Human Resources Analyst will only review the work experience/job duties sections of the online job application, to determine whether you meet the minimum qualifications for the position for which you are applying.
