Job description

Summary of position:

To process title transfers - include new plate, plate transfers, intransit out of state, export, dealer bought & sold transactions - as well as handle any problems with titles and to keep accurate records of all titles. To collect, correct and verify that all titled vehicles, motor homes, watercrafts, trailers, etc. are present and available before the auction. To be clear and respectful when informing customers about company policies. To kindly direct customers in next step in pick up process.

Essential Job Functions:

Typical Title Based Duties

  • Type RD-180's/TR-11's/WR-11's accurately and complete title transfer process
    • Explaining Plating Options to customer - New Plate, Plate Transfer, Intransit Plate, etc
    • Plate Fee Calculator and adding plate fees to invoice
    • Running Repeat offender search
    • Gathering information from customer for each transaction - Drivers License, Proof of Insurance, etc
    • Completing paperwork with the customer, signing paperwork correctly
    • Making necessary copies and submitting paperwork to Secretary of State for transfer.
  • Look up Secretary of State Website and Vin #s when needed
  • Working in Excel to add each deal to a tracking spreadsheet
  • Prepping Incoming Auction Sale Titles - copying, printing corresponding sale contract, etc
  • Update Police Book
    • Data Entry - Creating an entry for every unit we sell
  • Troubleshoot issues with titles - TR-54 Inspections, Secretary of State Returns, etc
  • Perform necessary functions in QuickBooks
    • Accounting for daily EFT withdrawal
    • Writing Checks, entering EFT's and deposits
  • Completing title preparation for each Repocast auction (trained as backup)
    • Verify that every item in auction that needs a title has one
    • Know Title and Lien Release procedures
    • Correspond with AFC/Nextgear/Other floor plan institutes regarding dealer titles and securing titles
    • This position would be cross-trained as a cashier / check in agent - The first few weeks of employment would be training in this position to give the new hire the basics to work as a title agent successfully.
