Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for an HR Representative to join our team at Jireh Semiconductor in Hillsboro, OR. The HR Representative reports to and supports the Director of Human Resources with projects related to the HR functions of the organization. This position will focus on leave administration, workers' compensation, and benefits. This position is Monday-Friday, 9:30 am - 6:30 pm. This is a fully onsite position and as a 24/7 manufacturing facility, we are looking for a candidate who will be flexible to provide infrequent morning/evening and weekend coverage.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Advise employees and managers on leave policies, processes and laws; serve as primary point of contact for all leave types and applicable time off, disability benefits, Workers' Compensation, and benefit billing
  • Maintain tracking of leave status', as well as workers' compensation and accommodations
  • Maintain communication with employees on leave to facilitate smooth and timely return-to-work; relay communications between employees and managers during leave
  • Navigate difficult conversations, mental health situations, and in-crisis employee situations and provide resources
  • Administer the return-to-work process for employees, including coordinating ADA accommodations as needed
  • Advise on time off entries for all leave types; monitor time off entries during leaves to ensure accurate payroll
  • Prepare weekly/monthly/quarterly reports regarding leave usage
  • Prepare and distribute benefits and leave related communications, notices and reminders
  • Assist employees with benefits related questions and benefits enrollments
  • Maintain HR related systems and audit data for accuracy
  • May perform functions as part of new hire orientations and/or the termination process
  • Serve as a back-up for employee relations issues including employee complaints, investigations, corrective actions, etc.
  • May support an identified area and become main contact for employee/supervisory questions and employee relations activities
  • Provide backup coverage for other HR team members on weekends and evenings (up to 8 pm) as needed to cover vacations and other absence
  • Other HR related functions and duties as assigned

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field highly preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience working directly in a Human Resources Department, with significant exposure to leave administration
  • 2 years of Paid Leave Oregon administration experience highly preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
  • Benefits administration, workers' compensation, timecard processing, employee relations, and new hire orientation experience strongly preferred
  • Compensation experience a plus
  • Payroll & manufacturing experience a plus
  • Must have flexible availability to cover as early as 6 am and as late as 8 pm, as well as weekends, infrequently to cover for other teammates
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required)
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
