What is a title agent?

A title agent is responsible for searching through public records to make sure that there are no issues with the title to a home. As a title agent, you typically perform these duties in conjunction with the closing of a real estate sale. Your duties also include the preparation of documentation for the home loan closing package and the issue of title insurance. You may also be responsible for the distribution of escrow funds that are part of the sale or purchase of a home. This career requires excellent organization and research skills and experience in the real estate or home loan industry.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a title agent?

To thrive as a Title Agent, you need a solid understanding of real estate transactions, title search processes, and property law, often supported by relevant licensure or certification. Familiarity with title production software, public records databases, and document management systems is typically required. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and effective communication help Title Agents excel in managing complex paperwork and collaborating with clients and stakeholders. These skills ensure accurate and efficient property transfers, minimizing legal risks and maintaining client trust.

What are some common challenges title agents face when coordinating real estate closings?

Title Agents often encounter challenges such as resolving title discrepancies, addressing outstanding liens or judgments, and ensuring all required documentation is accurate and complete before closing. They must coordinate closely with buyers, sellers, lenders, and real estate agents to keep the transaction on track and prevent delays. Effective communication and attention to detail are essential skills for managing multiple transactions simultaneously and ensuring a smooth closing process.

Job description

About Us

Fortune Title Group provides precision title and escrow services across Florida — supporting real estate agents, buyers and sellers, investors, mortgage brokers, and attorneys through every step of the closing process. We don't just close transactions; we build relationships, and we celebrate our clients along the way. As we continue to grow, we're looking for someone who wants to grow with us.

The Opportunity

We're hiring a part-time Title Processor to join our Lake Worth office, with the intention of transitioning this role to full-time within 6-9 months. This is an entry-level position (no title industry experience required) but we're looking for someone with the right mindset: sharp, dependable, and eager to learn a business where the details truly matter.

This isn't just a desk job. As part of the Fortune Title team, you'll also have the opportunity to represent our brand at networking events and community functions from time to time.

What You'll Do

  • Support the title and escrow process from contract to closing
  • Prepare, organize, and track documents with a high degree of accuracy
  • Communicate professionally with clients, agents, lenders, and attorneys
  • Help keep transactions moving on time by staying organized and proactive
  • Learn our systems and platforms, with full on-the-job training provided
  • Represent Fortune Title Group with professionalism, both in the office and occasionally at networking or industry events

What We're Looking For

  • Extremely detail-oriented and organized — you catch the small things others miss
  • Strong time-management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • A natural problem-solver who thinks ahead
  • A great communicator, comfortable interacting with clients and professional partners
  • Comfortable learning new technology and software
  • Professional, personable, and hard-working — someone who takes pride in their work
  • A team player who wants to grow long-term with a company that's growing too

Nice to Have (Not Required)

  • Experience with Qualia, Jotform, or Calendly
  • Notary certified
  • Spanish fluency

Details

  • Position Type: Part-time, with intent to move to full-time within 6–9 months
  • Location: In-person, Lake Worth, FL office
  • Start Date: October 2026
  • Training: Full on-the-job training provided — no prior title experience required
