Job description

ANTICIPATED OPENING(S):

Hinsdale District 86 is looking for at least one math teacher at Hinsdale South High School for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate possesses strong content knowledge and the willingness and ability to teach students at differing academic levels across the discipline.ย  This position is within the Math Department and may teach a variety of courses, including but not limited to Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2/Trig, AP Pre-Calculus, Statistics and/or AP Calculus.ย 

TIMELINE: Anticipated openings will be posted on the District 86 website in January 2026.ย  Screener interviews are expected to begin in early March.ย  Interested candidates should submit a completed application by February 28, 2026, for review.ย  No interviews will occur prior to this time

Candidates must have a valid State of Illinois PEL with a Math teaching endorsement.

Ideal candidates may have one or more of the following to support the needs of the department/school.

  • ESL/EL Endorsement
  • Experience teaching upper level mathematics courses including, but not limited to Multi-variable Calculus
  • Willingness to contribute to the school community through coaching/club sponsorship positions
