Job Description
Summary/Objective
We recruit highly skilled individuals for a variety of disciplines in the construction field. A skilled craft worker is an essential cog in the wheel of any Superior Construction project.
Your role within the company will include participation in site safety, protection of the environment, and construction of exciting and challenging projects.
Depending on your personal goals, Superior Construction will provide you the ability to learn additional skills and advancement through on-the-job training and external education outlets.
Essential functions
  • Uses electricity and torches to produce heat and solder together components made from steel, titanium, copper, and other metals
  • Consults blueprints and sketches to execute jobs and tasks to specification
  • Assesses equipment, structures, materials, and job specifications for appropriate welding positions and methods
  • Monitors equipment for appropriate usage and temperature
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of universal standards and specifications to meet building codes and legal requirements
  • Operates specialized machinery for industrial welding
  • Monitors work environment for hazards and maintain healthy ventilation levels
  • Follows safety protocol, including wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes
  • Properly follows all company policies and OSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.

Work Environment
This is a field-based role. Employee will be working on heavy civil and highway construction sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
Physical Demands
The position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods of time, and performs physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects and uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.
The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multilimbed coordination. The employee must have excellent stamina.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
  • This is a full-time position. This position will occasionally require long hours and weekend work.

  • Must adhere to OSHA safety protocol and work in a drug-free environment.
  • Must be reliable/have reliable transportation.
