Job description

Domtar, Menominee Operations is seeking a talented individual to join our team and we will be accepting applications for a Maintenance Pipefitter.   This will be an 8-hour day shift Monday through Friday.

The Pipefitter will maintain all mill piping and valving in a safe and timely manner to ensure plant run ability.  Additional responsibilities may include cutting, threading, welding and installation of pipe.  Replacing and repairing valves.

Candidates are required to have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.   Candidates should have four (4) years of experience in a related field and three (3) to five (5) years in an industrial environment.  A journeyman's certification is preferred, but we will consider equivalent experience without certifications.

Successful applicants need to be self-directed individuals and must possess excellent trouble shooting/problem solving skills as well as good written and oral skills.  Must be able to work both independently and as part of our team, and be willing to participate in off-hours support, i.e. call-ins, overtime, etc.
