Job Summary
Performs all automotive tire repairs, changes, balancing, rotations and TPMS procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Reviews repair order requests and makes visual inspection of vehicles to determine the extent of tire service requirements and materials needed
  • Performs tire replacement or minor maintenance services
  • Installs valve stem and tire-pressure monitoring system (TPMS) as required. Mounts tire on wheel assembly and inflates tires as required
  • Test tire balances to ensure proper weight placement
  • Performs short road test to ensure proper installation
  • Reviews service with customer
  • Complies with Company Quality Control Program, Company Safety Policy, OSHA and EPA regulations

Desired Qualifications
  • High school graduate, comparable vocational training or 6 months of tire technician experience
  • Must have knowledge of non-technical tire and auto service processes and procedures. Knowledge of systems software pertaining to automotive servicing
  • Preferred Experience:
    • Familiarity with tire and lube requirements and specifications
    • Knowledge of tire requirements to include use of wheel balancers, tire specifications, Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems and some drivability diagnostic experience
