Overview

The Senior IT Project Manager will lead and manage complex IT projects, specifically focusing on ERP implementations. This role requires a strong background in project management, ERP systems, and a PMP certification. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills to ensure successful project delivery.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelors preferred or 7 years' equivalent experience.
  • PM Certification or in process of completing preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years' experience project management experience.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and managing company-wide programs.
  • Experience in delivery ERP projects is a plus.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead, plan, facilitate, monitor and execute strategic and critical projects to ensure scope and resource allocation.
  • Monitor and communicate project progress to various cross functional departments.
  • Prioritize, track, and manage a portfolio of projects, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Develop, manage, and evaluate multiple project timelines, their resources, and their scope.
  • Apply project management principles and tools to reduce risk, improve outcomes and enhance communication.
  • Adjust schedules and resources to meet key goals.
  • Identify and minimize risks and issues, escalating and mitigating.
  • Create a collaborative culture with team members.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
  • Lead and manage enterprise-wide projects from initiation to completion.
  • Ensure compliance with project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Mentor and guide junior project managers and team members.

Skills Needed

  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and be capable of self-checking for completeness and accuracy of work produced.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with a broad audience.
  • Excellent facilitation and influencing skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively at both the strategic and operational level.
  • Must demonstrate leadership attributes necessary to help maintain forward momentum in broad range of projects and keep strategic plan implementation teams engaged during implementation of Fort Wayne Metals' strategic plan.
  • Strong cultural awareness, to work in diverse teams and groups.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
