We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Printing Supervisor to lead our print production operations at our Columbus facility. This role is essential in maintaining the quality, efficiency, and performance of our printing department in a fast-paced, high-output environment. You'll be responsible for overseeing day-to-day activities, optimizing print workflows, ensuring color accuracy, and maximizing machine utilization and uptime— while supporting and motivating your team.

What You will Do:

  • Supervise daily operations of the print department to ensure output meets quality and timeline targets

  • Optimize color management procedures to ensure consistent, high-quality prints across jobs and machines

  • Maximize print machine utilization and reduce idle time through effective job scheduling and coordination

  • Oversee preventative maintenance schedules and ensure all print equipment is serviced and running efficiently

  • Monitor productivity metrics and proactively address bottlenecks or downtime

  • Collaborate with planning and production teams to manage work orders and shift priorities

  • Train and coach print team members on equipment use, quality checks, and SOPs

  • Implement and improve print quality control and calibration processes

  • Support new equipment rollouts, software updates, and process improvements

  • Enforce health and safety protocols in line with site standards


Preferred Background:

  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in a digital or large-format printing production environment

  • Strong knowledge of color management systems, ICC profiles, and calibration tools

  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop for basic print file adjustments and quality control

  • Hands-on experience with digital printing machines (e.g., Durst, Canon, Epson, Mimaki, HP, or similar)

  • Familiar with RIP software and production scheduling tools (e.g., Onyx, PrintFactory, Fiery)

  • Solid understanding of preventive maintenance practices for print equipment

  • Proven ability to lead teams in fast-paced environments with fluctuating demand

  • Comfortable analyzing performance data and optimizing workflows

  • Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills
