The Material Handler will play a crucial role in the efficient and smooth operation of warehouse and distribution processes. The Material Handler is responsible for handling, moving, and organizing tile and stone materials, ensuring accurate inventory management, and contributing to a well-organized and safe work environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Safely and efficiently move, load, and unload tile and stone products using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other designated equipment.
  • Inspect materials for damage and ensure they meet quality standards before handling or shipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and locations.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and assist in periodic physical inventories.
  • Work closely with the inventory control team to identify and resolve discrepancies.

  • Communicate effectively with suppliers and carriers regarding inbound and outbound shipments.

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience as a material handler in a warehouse environment, preferably in the tile and stone industry.
  • Previous experience loading and unloading trucks.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to established protocols.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Forklift certification and experience operating other warehouse equipment.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and order processing.
