Job description

Job purpose

To timely and accurately pull orders for our customers either here to pickup or to be delivered at a later date. To maintain a clean warehouse. To be able to unload our stock/special order trucks from our vendors timely and accurately.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service with a great attitude.
  • Greet contractors/customers in a friendly manner
  • Pulling and fulfilling customer orders, ensuring accuracy and all paperwork is completed
  • Pulling and staging orders for shipment
  • Frequently sorting and placing inventory to assigned locations throughout warehouse, manually and/or with a fork lift
  • Keeping the warehouse clean and organized for a safe working environment
  • Processing incoming/outgoing trucks efficiently
  • Lifting items weighing up to 60 pounds on a regular basis
  • Reviewing all products and packages to ensure free from damage
  • Maintaining accurate inventory levels through counts and proper tracking
  • Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent education preferred
  • Previous Warehouse experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, using the English language
  • Basic math skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong work ethic and organization skills
  • Has a valid Virginia Drivers License
  • Certified Fork Lift operator, or willing to obtain certification
  • Pre-employment Drug screening

Working conditions

Must be able to work during the day and some weekends. Must be willing to work with challenging clients at times. Some of the contractors that Morris Tile deals with can be gruff at times. Must be willing to work in a warehouse setting that at times can be dusty due to some of the products that are required for ceramic tile installation. Smoking in the warehouse is allowed.
