Emser Tile LLC, a national leader in the distribution of high-quality ceramic tile and natural stone, is seeking a versatile Hybrid Warehouse and Customer Support Representative for our local branch. Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, including Builders, Designers, General Contractors, and walk-in customers, delivering outstanding customer service both in person and over the phone.
  • Greet customers, resolve inquiries and complaints, and build lasting relationships as the "face" of Emser Tile for new and regular clients.
  • Enter and verify orders and account information in the JDE system and ensure accurate recordkeeping.
  • Work collaboratively with the Branch Operations team and Sales Team members to deliver exceptional customer experience and support branch and market goals.
  • Support the ISR and / or Operations Manager with walk-in showroom customers.
  • Perform warehouse operations as needed, including inspecting, identifying, handling, consolidating, labeling, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping inventory according to company policies.
  • Maintain and reconcile warehouse inventory, promptly address discrepancies, and generate inventory reports under supervisor direction.
  • Efficiently handle will-call customers and ensure professional service throughout their experience.
  • Assists in showroom maintenance as needed, including cleaning, updating samples and labels and conducting monthly showroom audits.
  • Performs inventory receiving, recording, issuing, and transporting goods (tasks as required), ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist Operations Manager and / or ISR prepare basic sample boards for branch or customer showrooms.
  • Other tasks as assigned to support both customer service and warehouse operations.
Qualifications (Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience)
  • 1-3 years of experience in building, construction, design, or warehouse environments preferred.
  • Results-driven, customer-focused, highly organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and thrive in a busy environment.
  • Outstanding leadership, critical thinking, decision-making, and listening skills.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and composure under pressure, with a commitment to open communication and trust.
  • Knowledge of database and query functions; functional computer skills required.
  • Ability to accurately read and respond to non-verbal communication.
  • Excellent basic math skills, including piece-to-square-foot calculations and product counting/tracking.
  • Ability to create and produce basic sample boards and handle inventory safely and efficiently.
  • Forklift certification and experience using a wet saw are a plus.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred, or other language as appropriate for the area.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
Physical Requirements
  • Stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms for prolonged periods.
  • Walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, sit, climb, and balance as part of daily activities.
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts and occasional fumes or airborne particles.
  • May encounter a wide range of temperatures and loud noise levels.
  • Ability to talk on the phone and use computers for extended periods.
