The Material Handler is responsible for handling, moving, and organizing tile and stone materials, ensuring accurate inventory management, and contributing to a well-organized and safe work environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Safely and efficiently move, load, and unload tile and stone products using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other designated equipment.
  • Inspect materials for damage and ensure they meet quality standards before handling or shipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and locations.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and assist in periodic physical inventories.
  • Work closely with the inventory control team to identify and resolve discrepancies.

  • Assist in the arrangement and optimization of storage spaces for efficient material flow.

  • Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and address any issues that may arise.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers and carriers regarding inbound and outbound shipments.

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience as a material handler in a warehouse environment, preferably in the tile and stone industry.
  • Previous experience loading and unloading trucks.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to established protocols.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Forklift certification and experience operating other warehouse equipment.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and order processing.
  • Proven experience handling experience in a precise and meticulous manner.
