Job description

The Digital Manufacturing Tiger Team Leader is accountable for the end-to-end deployment, adoption, and stabilization of MES-Lite (Ignition) solutions at Eaton growth sites. Using a process-first approach, this leader assesses site readiness, aligns solutions to business objectives, and drives successful execution and adoption. This role is focused on delivery excellence and business value realization, not enterprise-wide solution orchestration.

The Tiger Team Leader serves as the primary customer-facing owner, overseeing engagement governance, delivery execution, financial performance, and value realization. The position leads and develops a dedicated team consisting of Business Analysts, an IT Project Manager/Scrum Master, and a development pod, while coordinating with shared Product, Architecture, Data, Infrastructure, and Engineering resources. Tiger Team engagements are intentionally time-bound and conclude with a structured transition to the centralized enhancement and sustainment model.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $165000 - $242000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only.

Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you'll do: Mission & Scope Alignment Assess the site's manufacturing archetype (MTS, MTO, ETO, CTO) and validate alignment with the MES-Lite deployment model. Evaluate operational readiness, ensuring OPA maturity is at least at the "Demonstrating" level; escalate gaps to the Business Relationship Manager (BRM) as needed.

Align stakeholders on MES-Lite capabilities, limitations, and expected outcomes. Define and prioritize the initial value stream or production area for deployment, avoiding plant-wide implementations at project launch. Engagement Ownership & Governance Secure a designated Business Site Lead who serves as the single accountable owner and primary escalation point.

Establish governance structures, including internal and customer-facing operating cadences, escalation paths, and support contacts. Own overall engagement success, including delivery oversight, governance, financial performance, and recovery management. Determine when to engage Product Owners and Centers of Excellence, including Infrastructure, Engineering, ERP, and other supporting functions.

Process, Data & Technology Readiness Ensure standard work and current-state value stream maps are established prior to digitization efforts. Validate readiness of critical master data, including BOMs, routings, released work orders, and designated data ownership. Confirm readiness of Ignition infrastructure, shop floor networks, Wi-Fi connectivity, devices, ERP/PLM integrations, and support processes.

Ensure execution processes are stable before deploying digital solutions. Change Management, Adoption & Go-Live Drive user adoption from day one through role-based training, shift-level SMEs and super users, and clear escalation processes. Lead controlled go-live activities, including scope management, end-to-end testing, RAID tracking, and hypercare planning.

Define and monitor go-live success criteria, including user adoption, system stability, process compliance, and elimination of manual workarounds. Stabilize deployments through structured post-launch support and governance, resolving adoption and process issues before introducing enhancements. Recommend expansion, optimization, or deployment holds based on operational performance and readiness.

Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement Lead, coach, and develop Business Analysts, Project Managers, and development resources. Empower team members while transitioning day-to-day execution ownership to the Project Manager. Maintain visibility across deployment portfolios and cross-site dependencies.

Coordinate effectively with Product, Architecture, Data, Infrastructure, and Engineering teams. Capture and institutionalize lessons learned to improve future growth-site deployments. Ensure successful and timely transition to the centralized enhancement and sustainment organization.

Qualifications: Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Minimum of 8 years of experience leading manufacturing IT or digital manufacturing deployments. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications Experience leading and developing teams. Hands-on MES implementation experience, including solutions such as Ignition MES-Lite, Apriso, or FactoryTalk ProductionCentre. 5+ years of project or program management experience, including Agile and Scrum delivery methodologies.

Demonstrated success leading enterprise-scale MES or digital manufacturing deployments across multiple manufacturing sites. Deep understanding of manufacturing execution systems, ISA-95 standards, Unified Namespace (UNS) architectures, and MES-Lite versus full MES deployment strategies. Strong knowledge of manufacturing archetypes, including Make-to-Stock (MTS), Make-to-Order (MTO), Engineer-to-Order (ETO), and Configure-to-Order (CTO).

Advanced experience integrating MES platforms with ERP systems (SAP, MAPICS), PLM platforms, and shop floor technologies supporting production execution, quality, traceability, and OEE analytics. Strong understanding of shop floor infrastructure, including edge computing, DMZ architecture, networking, connectivity, and device readiness. Expertise in master data readiness and governance, including BOMs, routings, and work order management.

Experience managing project financials, recoveries, risks, issues, dependencies, and third-party implementation partners such as Flexware. Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage leaders across business and IT organizations. All positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.

All candidates will be evaluated based on job-related competencies, and all candidates' privacy rights and data security will be protected in accordance with applicable laws.
