Position Summary

The TIG Welder (Night Shift) is responsible for welding fabricated metal components and assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, welding procedures, and quality standards. This position plays a critical role in producing high-quality expansion joints and related piping products while maintaining safety, accuracy, and efficiency during night shift operations. Must have 3 years TIG experience and must pass TIG 3G Testing.


Key Responsibilities

· Perform TIG welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy materials

· Must be able to weld plate to plate (very thin) and plate to flat bar

· Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, weld symbols, and specifications

· Set up and operate welding equipment according to approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)

· Ensure welds meet dimensional, visual, and quality requirements

· Conduct in-process inspections and make adjustments as needed

· Use fabrication tools such as grinders, torches, and hand tools

· Safely operate overhead cranes and material-handling equipment

· Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas

· Complete required documentation, travelers, checklists, and work orders

· Follow all safety procedures, including PPE requirements, LOTO, and crane protocols

Requirements:Qualifications

· A minimum 3 Years’ Experience Preferred

· Proven experience with TIG welding in a manufacturing or fabrication environment

· Ability to read and interpret welding symbols and fabrication drawings

· Familiarity with welding carbon steel and stainless-steel components

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

· Ability to work independently on night shift

· Knowledge of shop safety standards and procedures
