Job description

JOB TITLE: Industrial Technician

REPORTS TO: Project Manager

STATUS: Full time, non-exempt

LOCATION: Beaumont, TX or Ludington, MI with up to 75% travel nationwide

SALARY RANGE: $25-35/hourly depending on experience and interview outcome

Position Summary:

We are seeking a diligent, agile-minded, and organized individual to join our Execution team in Texas or Michigan as an industrial technician. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values precision, and is mechanically inclined.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Must operate and work within our Mission Driven Culture Core Values and Principles and encourage others to do the same.
  • Assisting in the building of our production facilities from the ground up.
  • Pulling, preparing, and staging parts and equipment for system builds.
  • Ability to read, understand, and work from basic CAD drawings including construction documents, wiring diagrams, and plumbing schematics.
  • Industrial equipment operation, such as forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, etc.


Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a shop or warehouse atmosphere, or as a machinist, welder, or fabricator.
  • Familiar with PVC and metal work, such as: welding, fitting, and assembly.
  • Knowledge of FCAW, GMAW and TIG welding processes.
  • Experience with safe use and operation of a variety of hand and powered tools and equipment.
  • Experience with safe manufacturing practices in a production/shop environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including word processing, spreadsheets, and email.
  • Must be able to effectively interface with customers and vendors in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be a team player and help where needed, yet motivated to work independently, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable with up to 75% travel to job sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in construction.
  • Experience with rigging.
  • Existing/current forklift certification a plus.
  • CDL or Chauffeur license is a plus.
  • Basic electrical knowledge is a plus.


Licensing & Special Requirements:

  • Subject to a criminal background check and drug screening.
  • Must be willing to travel 2 to 3 weeks at a time, and work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • CDL or Chauffeur license is a plus.

Working Conditions:

Most of the work is performed on various construction sites, but will require occasional time working in a warehouse setting or at a desk. Physical requirements of the position include walking, standing, or sitting for extended periods, lifting heavy objects (50 lbs or more), climbing, crouching, operating tools, and always wearing appropriate PPE.
