DIRECTOR, TICKET SALES AND SERVICE (cAMPBELL UNIVERSITY)

THE RUNDOWN

Playfly Sports is looking for a Director, Ticket Sales to join our team at Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina .

This individual will be responsible for growing the organization's ticket sales revenue. This role will focus on hiring, training, and developing the ticket sales staff while maximizing revenue streams and actively working to create new and unique revenue opportunities. 

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Prepare and manage an annual ticket sales business plan
  • Oversee new sales for the property, including season, partial plans and group ticket sales
  • Prepare timely and accurate sales reports that monitor the progress of the ticket sales team both individually and collectively and ensure sales pacing goals are met
  • Lead regular staff meetings and facilitate discussion and sharing of ideas related to growing ticket sales revenue
  • Attend sales meetings with account executives
  • Develop and maintain a personal client base of ticket sales prospects and customers
  • Continuously identify, recruit, hire and train current and new members of our sales team to build a dynamic sales environment that will accomplish the sales goals of the organization
  • Work closely with marketing to drive sales and revenue
  • Regularly measure the effectiveness of the organization's various sales campaigns and offerings and provide recommendations for further improvement when necessary
  • Actively remain aware of best practices within our league and industry and provide ideas and insights to improve our ticket sales portfolio
  • Other job-related duties as assigned

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Bachelor's Degree in Sports Administration, Business, or related fields
  • 4+ years of sales experience, preferably in sports/entertainment industry and/or ticket sales
  • 2+ years of management experience; sports ticket sales environment preferred
  • Proven track record in sales training and ability to train and develop staff
  • Experience with software programs including Tickets.com, GiveX, Fevo, and other ticket-related software and hardware
  • Excellent organizational abilities to handle multiple tasks, establish priorities, and consistently meet strict deadlines with effective results
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to deal with patrons regularly
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Attention to detail including excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Must be able to address and solve problems quickly and effectively
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
