Job Description:
PROJECT STATEMENT: Deliver solution for trade promotion management reporting/analytical needs with replacement of Siebel with CAS trade promotion system and High Radius Deduction management system.
BUSINESS OBJECTIVE (PPM): Replace current OBIEE Trade Funds Analytics / Sales Reporting with TBD reporting solution(s) because of the implementation of Accenture CAS Trade Promotion Management and High Radius Deduction management system.
Fulfill field and corporate sales reporting needs.
They currently run on Tibco Spotfire and Cisco Virtualization for their BI tools. However, they feel that they can bring strong BI resources that are new to the BI team up to speed on how to use these tools.
This resource will not be just developing but they will also be heavily involved in working with the business users to create specs around the data reporting. Then they will be tasked with helping to build out that solution. Strong communication around analytics will be very key.
Smucker is currently experimenting with Hadoop/Spark/Python. It is not required for this project but the resource could be used for other projects, and asked to provide knowledge around their experience on these tools implementations.
DETAILED REQUIREMENTS:
• Very strong SQL and data warehousing skills.
• Works well in a team environment and collaborates well with other team members - Agile methodology familiarity is a plus
• Excellent at problem solving and relationship building
• Strong communication and visual design skills
• Exercises proactive thinking
• Experience with Data Virtualization tools such as Cisco Data Virtualization (Composite), Denodo, JBoss
• Understanding of how to work with master data and data virtualization platforms
• Conforms to enterprise data standards
• Experience with Tibco Spotfire, OBIEE, Informatica PowerCenter, Excel (as a BI tool) is a plus
• Maintains and provides regular updates on work completion status and overall timeline for assigned work
• Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience is a plus
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or related field.
