Position Title: Processing Supervisor
Department: Operations
Reports To: Assistant Manager
Position Purpose and Objectives
Be part of something exciting from day one! America's Thrift Stores is seeking a motivated and hands-on Processing Supervisor to help launch our newest store. This is a unique opportunity to build a high-performing team from the ground up, shape the culture of a brand-new location, and play a key role in creating an exceptional experience for our customers, donors, and team members.
As a Processing Supervisor, you will lead the daily operations of our production team, ensuring merchandise is processed efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and productivity. You will coach, develop, and motivate team members, monitor daily production goals, and help establish the operational foundation that will drive the store's long-term success.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise the daily activities of the Processing Team.
  • Help establish and maintain operational standards for a brand-new store.
  • Monitor daily production goals and communicate expectations and progress to team members.
  • Perform hands-on quality control audits to ensure merchandise meets company standards.
  • Train, coach, and develop team members through consistent feedback and recognition.
  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new employees.
  • Schedule team members according to business needs and labor requirements.
  • Manage inventory tracking systems to monitor donations, production, and stock levels.
  • Analyze inventory and production trends, anticipating shortages or operational challenges.
  • Perform all duties required of Processing Team Members while leading by example.
  • Maintain high standards for merchandise quality, pricing, freshness, and shopability.
  • Support store leadership with sales initiatives, promotions, and special programs.
  • Provide exceptional customer and donor service while supporting company standards.
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and values-driven work environment.
  • Encourage open communication and translate team feedback into meaningful action.
  • Address team concerns and escalate issues to the Assistant Manager or General Manager as appropriate.
  • Protect company assets by following operational, cash handling, and loss prevention procedures.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by following OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Oversee production operations in the absence of the Assistant Manager, making sound decisions that support store performance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory, team lead, or key holder experience in retail, warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial processing.
  • Passion for coaching, developing, and motivating others.
  • Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math, reading comprehension, and computer skills.
  • Ability to observe performance, provide constructive coaching, and hold team members accountable.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Successful completion of a background check, motor vehicle check, and drug screen.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
