Maintenance Mechanic – 4x10's (Brook Park, OH)

Pay: $25.50/hr to start
Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire (eligible for hire after ~90 days)
Schedule: Tuesday – Friday, 6:00am – 4:30pm, eventually transitioning to Thursday - Sunday 6:00am - 4:30pm

Once hired on, you’ll become a UFCW Union Worker with access to raises and benefits.
This job is ultimately for "4th Shift" - you will train on 1st shift Tuesday Friday 6:00am – 4:30pm for the remainder of this year. At the beginning of 2026, this job will transition to "4th Shift" which will consist of Thursday - Sunday 6:00am - 4:30pm.
Job Summary
Crucial Link is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic to support a food production facility in Brook Park. This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery, equipment, and building systems to ensure safe operations, food safety, and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and troubleshoot industrial machine controls, including 3-wire and PLC systems.
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain AC/DC motors and single/three-phase power systems (up to 480 volts).
  • Maintain and repair mechanical power transmission systems (gearboxes, belts, chains, sprockets, pulleys).
  • Install and service pneumatic equipment: compressors, valves, solenoids, cylinders, and flow controls.
  • Perform plumbing, carpentry, and general facility maintenance as required.
  • Support preventive maintenance program and apply industrial lubricants properly.
  • Set up, change over, and disassemble production equipment (breader mills, scalpers, sifters).
  • Maintain robotic, conveyor, and bagging systems.
  • Handle bulk rail and truck material hook-ups safely.
  • Manage waste oil per EPA compliance rules.
  • Conduct daily forklift inspections; operate forklift as needed.
  • Adhere to company policies, safety practices, and quality standards.
Qualifications
  • Proven maintenance experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and operate forklifts.
  • Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and test equipment.
  • Ability to read and follow technical instructions and schematics.
  • Reliable, safety-minded, and detail-oriented.
