Job description

EHC is currently looking for a Finishing Operator for a client located in the Middlesex, NJ area.

Hours: 7:00 am - 4:00 pm

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is primarily responsible for threading, grooving, and beveling material that meets industry standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours and weekends (if needed)
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
  • Experience in grooving or beveling material
  • Capable of being trained on thread specification and use proper QC tooling
  • Able to pass or fail material that does not meet industry or company standards.
  • Stable work history, preferably in an industrial environment
  • Reliable transportation
  • Committed to always working safely including a commitment to the policies and procedures of the operation
  • Positive attitude; good team player

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Machine operation “groover” machine
  • Grooving pipe for 8 hours
  • Runs pipe through machine – pipe is either 20’ or 40’ in length
  • Pipe is fed into machine from a nearby rack
  • Assist other team members when time allows
  • Any other duties as requested by respective supervisor and/or manager

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and stack objects up to 50 lbs. occasionally and frequently exert 10 to 20 lbs. of force to lift, carry, push, and pull or otherwise move objects
  • Work involves long periods of standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching; may also include climbing ladders and staircases
  • Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions – heat, cold, rain
