Job description

Full Time positions for Lathe/Mill Setup Operators

Functions:

  • Oversee and coordinate machining operations and activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely fashion.
  • Load and unload equipment and materials.
  • Be able to setup/operate CNC FANUC control.
  • Precise setting of all tool offsets.
  • Must have mathematical skills for calculating set-up requirements, including basic math, geometry and trigonometry. 
  • Set up and operate machines with little supervision.
  • Able to read and understand Engineering drawings/blueprints.
  • Able to plan machining process, study work orders, drawings, materials, specifications, and machine capabilities.
  • Interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T) and read drawings.
  • Must be familiar with G-Code machine language.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance on machines.

Qualifications:

  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Previous experience in plant operations or other related fields.
  • Familiarity with plant tools and equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to oversee physical workload.
  • 3, 4 & 5 axis CNC Horizontal setup.
  • Knowledge of FANUC controls.
  • Functional and Technical skills.
  • Read and edit programs.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in CNC mill machining
