Job description

A New Paradigm For Space Operations.

Who We Are:

Space Kinetic is a dual use space technology startup building a completely new architecture for space operations - one that brings the advantages of proliferated drone technology (low-cost, operationally flexible, attainable, distributed) to space missions while reducing the ecosystem's reliance on consumable fuel. In a world where many companies are focused on incrementally improving the status quo,  we are focused on creating something entirely different - an architecture underpinned by new first principles to meet the opportunities and challenges of the third space age head-on.  Our goal is to move away from one-to-one space architectures - where each satellite in a constellation has one (or a small # of) primary payloads attached to the bus -- and unlock a 'one-to-many' system, where each satellite has a large number of payloads which can be deployed from their host spacecraft at high velocities without firing a thruster.

This is not a role for someone looking for a traditional 40-hour work week. Space Kinetic is building ambitious, first-of-its-kind technology, and that requires urgency, ownership, and a high level of commitment to changing the foundational assumptions for everything we do in space.

What You'll Do:

As an HR / Talent Acquisition Systems Intern, you will support recruiting operations, hiring systems administration, and university recruiting efforts in a fast-paced aerospace startup environment. You will work closely with Talent Acquisition and company leadership to help maintain recruiting workflows, support career-related platforms, and assist with candidate coordination and hiring operations.

This role will focus heavily on supporting the company hiring system, career site administration, recruiting coordination, and internship recruiting efforts through platforms such as Handshake.

For those who dream of changing the world, an internship with Space Kinetic is the place to start.

As an Intern, you will support the Talent Acquisition and Operations teams in helping scale recruiting processes and support company growth in a fast-paced startup environment. This internship is a paid position with both full and part-time employment opportunities available. These roles will be open within a rolling start and end timeframe.

Responsibilities:

  • Support administration and organization of the company hiring system and recruiting workflows
  • Assist with maintaining job postings and careers pages across multiple platforms
  • Help manage and update the company careers section on the website

  • Support candidate tracking, recruiting reports, and hiring documentation
  • Help organize interview feedback and recruiting records
  • Assist with onboarding and recruiting administrative activities as needed
  • Support recruiting coordination in a fast-moving startup environment

What It Takes:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, Psychology, Information Systems, or related field
  • Must be a recent college graduate OR graduate within the last semester of your program
  • Strong organizational and communication skills required
  • Comfortable learning new systems and software platforms quickly
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, self-driven, rapidly growing entrepreneurial workplace
  • Ability to work with minimal direction or support and to learn quickly; strong analytical skills; detail-oriented; commitment to follow-through; enthusiastic and proactive; receptive to feedback; and effective written communication skills
  • Interest in recruiting operations, HR systems, employer branding, or startup environments

 What We'd Love:

  • Familiarity with recruiting systems, applicant tracking systems, or career platforms
  • Experience with website updates, administrative systems, or recruiting coordination
  • Interest in talent acquisition, university recruiting, or employer branding
  • Passion for the commercial and government space industry
  • Interest in startup operations and company growth

Where You'll Be:

  • The position is onsite at our headquarters in El Segundo, CA.

Compensation: $27.00/hr.
