Job description

Summary:

The BSA Alert Analyst is responsible for performing core BSA/AML compliance functions including alert review, customer risk profiling, due diligence reviews, CTR processing, and ongoing monitoring activities. This role focuses on first-line analytical review and program execution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring AML alerts within the Bank’s BSA/AML monitoring software. Researching, tracking, and monitoring alerts. Determine when alerts should be upgraded to a case for enhanced review.
  • Review high-risk customer accounts, including third party payment processors and independent ATM owners.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including FinTech, Deposit Operations, and internal audit, to ensure compliance considerations are integrated into business processes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date compliance documentation, including policies, procedures, and audit trails.
  • Provide compliance training and support to employees across the organization, helping to promote a culture of compliance.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in BSA and banking compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education And/Or Experience:

  • Associate’s degree in finance, business administration legal studies, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Banking, BSA, Fraud or Compliance roles within the Financial Services, Financial Technology, or Payments industry.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of relevant financial regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and trends to inform decision-making.
  • All candidates must complete a pre-employment background check, credit check, and drug screening.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
