Our pioneering and inventive spirit has enabled us to be at the forefront of many technological advancements in our nation's history - from the first flight across the Atlantic Ocean, to stealth bombers, to landing on the moon. We look for people who have bold new ideas, courage and a pioneering spirit to join forces to invent the future, and have fun along the way.
Our culture thrives on intellectual curiosity, cognitive diversity and bringing your whole self to work - and we have an insatiable drive to do what others think is impossible. Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman is seeking a high-energy, proactive, analytical and collaborative Compliance Analyst to join the Legal Department's Compliance Operations organization.
This position supports the Company's global third-party compliance program, with a primary focus on anti-corruption due diligence, risk assessment, and third party approvals. The Analyst will conduct and document risk-based due diligence on third parties, evaluate business requests to engage them, identify potential compliance risks, and determine appropriate due diligence and approval requirements in accordance with Company policies and procedures. This role requires frequent interaction with stakeholders across multiple business, contracts, and supply chain functions and is well suited for an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and building effective relationships with business partners around the world.
The successful candidate is comfortable asking questions, collaborating directly with stakeholders and third parties, navigating complex issues, and driving matters to closure to solve problems and support sound, risk based decisions. Note: Due nature of the work being performed, this position does not offer any virtual or telecommute working options. Applicants are encouraged to apply, only if they are willing to work on-site.
Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough, risk-based anti-corruption due diligence and compliance assessments of third parties in accordance with Company policies, procedures, and applicable requirements. Manage third-party due diligence matters through the Company's global online due diligence and approval platform, ensuring requests are complete, well documented, and processed in a timely manner by proactively engaging with business stakeholders and third parties.
Partner closely with stakeholders to support compliant third-party engagements and provide practical guidance regarding applicable requirements. Review and support approval requirements associated with ITAR Part 130 requests and related third-party information. Maintain accurate records of due diligence reviews, risk assessments, approvals, and related compliance determinations.
Manage multiple complex matters simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet established deadlines in a dynamic, global environment. Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency, consistency, and effectiveness of third-party compliance processes and controls. Support other compliance operations activities and special projects as needed.
Required Qualifications Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience business management, international compliance, and/or compliance-related field; Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience in business management, international compliance, and/or compliance-related field; or a high school diploma and 9 years of experience in lieu of education. Experience conducting compliance reviews, risk assessments, due diligence, or similar analytical work. Strong analytical, investigative, and critical-thinking skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and evaluate complex information to identify and assess risk. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively engage with various stakeholders across multiple functions and geographies. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and complex matters in a high-volume environment.
Demonstrated initiative, accountability, and ability to work proactively and collaboratively. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and the ability to learn and effectively use global compliance technology platforms. Ability to work in office at the Company's Linthicum, Maryland office is required.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and related anti-corruption laws and regulations. International or cross-border business experience. Advanced degree or relevant professional certification in compliance, or a related field.
