Job description

Job Title: Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Analytics Solutions Engineer

Department: Information Operations

Location: Arlington, VA or San Diego, CA

Summary

Information Operations aims to deliver meaningful capability, technical support, and innovative solutions to Trident and support the enterprise in achieving business strategic goals and objectives.

As part of the Information Operations team, the AI & Analytics Solutions Engineer, designs, builds, and deploys intelligent systems that enhance operational efficiency, automate decision making, and unlock new capabilities across the organization. This role blends software engineering, machine learning, and analytics to develop production-ready AI and analytics solutions. In our environment, this may include solutions related to corporate finance, predictive maintenance, defect detection, and process optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day‑to‑day functional support for deployed AI and analytics solutions
  • Maintain knowledge of emerging AI technologies and solutions compatible with a government tenant
  • Monitor and troubleshoot tickets related to AI and analytics solutions
  • Collaborate with the business to define, design, and deploy use cases leveraging AI and analytics solutions
  • Build and maintain AI governance frameworks
  • Work with third-party vendors as applicable to support on-going projects

Qualifications

  • Strong programming skills in Python and SQL
  • Experience with machine learning model development, including supervised, unsupervised, and deep learning techniques
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. Azure) and GPU‑accelerated computing
  • Experience integrating AI models with enterprise systems, APIs, or edge devices
  • Experience with M365 Copilot deployment and Copilot Studio
  • Experience using Microsoft’s Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI, etc.)
  • Hands‑on experience with ML Ops tools (ML flow, Kubeflow, Airflow, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines)
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering best practices
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and curiosity
  • Ability to translate ambiguous business needs into technical solutions
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, iterative environments
  • Clear communication with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders
  • Understanding of AI governance, model monitoring, and responsible AI practices

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field
  • 3–5+ years of experience building and deploying machine learning or AI systems
  • Eligible to work within government tenants (GCC, GCCH) and with FEDRAMP compliant solutions
  • Certifications in MS Azure, Dev Ops, Analytics, and AI

NICE TO HAVE Education and/or Experience

  • Master’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
  • Experience working in government tenants (GCC, GCCH) and with FEDRAMP compliant solutions
  • Experience working in navy, shipbuilding, or related domains
  • Advanced programming skills in Python (e.g.,Py Torch, TensorFlow, scikit‑learn, Fast API)
  • Background in industrial automation, robotics, or IoT sensor data
  • Experience building digital twins, simulation models, or optimization algorithms
  • Familiarity with data engineering tools (Spark, Databricks, Kafka)
  • Knowledge of DevOps and infrastructure‑as‑code
