Position Summary

The Human Resource Intern will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organizationโ€™s human resource department.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Maintains accurate and uptodate human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Provides clerical support to the HR department.
  • Maintains HR team calendar and scheduling.
  • Assists with new hire onboarding processes.
  • Prepares paperwork, folders, schedules, and facilitates smooth new hire onboarding processes with different departments.
  • Assists with creating, implementing, and maintaining Team Member communications.
  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organizationwide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and celebrations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Exhibits and practices the Third Coast Way fundamental behaviors.
  • Knowledge and Skills:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of HR principles and practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute to a fastpaced HR environment.
  • Work Experience:
  • Two years of administrative assistant experience required.
  • Skills and Competencies:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • 100% Office Setting, including sitting, some bending, walking, and viewing.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
