Cvent's Consulting team works with select customers supporting a variety of projects to help modernize and optimize events marketing and management programs. We collaborate with leaders and key stakeholders from Marketing, Meetings & Events, IT, and Procurement through assessments and workshops supporting strategy, planning, and technology evaluation. We also support pilot programs for new Cvent solutions and large-scale platform, integrations, and analytics initiatives. We are currently looking to fill a Consultant role, an essential member of a project team. This role serves as the engagement lead and subject matter expert in our consulting projects with strategic customers and is responsible for completing all project milestones and deliverables to the client's satisfaction.
In This Role, You Will:
Project Delivery - 90%
  • Work with internal project stakeholders to determine overall project parameters, success factors, and project risks

  • Adhere to project scope, requirements, milestones, and deliverables

  • Develop a deep understanding of the customer's current program, organization, processes, policy and technology ecosystem. Help to translate customer business objectives into priorities for meetings and events programs

  • Identify areas of opportunity in advancing key business process supported by the Cvent platform

  • Leverage your subject matter expertise to advise customers on leading and best practices and provide timely, proactive recommendations that will benefit customers' ongoing usage of the Cvent platform

  • Work with project team members to identify opportunities to improve current implementations with an "ecosystem" approach and mindset and define new use cases for the Cvent platform including new pilot initiatives

  • Run day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope. Develop project plan, timeline and milestones using appropriate tools and techniques. Build and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities and tasks. Consistently apply our methodology and ensure project standards. Track and report billable time and expenses on a weekly basis. Travel to customer sites and be available after regular business hours to monitor customer issues and escalations during key points of a project

  • Contribute to objectives for project profitability

Practice Building - 10%
  • Support operational projects that target new services, IP discovery, partner communications, scheduling, etc.

  • Contribute to overall strategy for developing Cvent's Consulting capabilities, offerings, market presence, etc. Refine current services and identify opportunities for new services

  • Develop thought leadership content to position Cvent and Consulting org with business stakeholders.

Here's What You Need:
  • Consultant - BA/BS Degree or equivalent with 5+ years work experience

  • Minimum 2+ years relevant work experience in one of the following: Business Consulting, Technology Consulting, Enterprise Software / SaaS, Customer Success, Technology Solutions Development, Technical and/or Solutions Architecture

  • Minimum of 4+ years of project or program management experience, with a focus in SaaS software (PMP certification a plus)

  • Deep understanding of policies, processes and organizational factors supporting meetings, events and travel programs. Strong knowledge of business processes supported by Cvent (Planning, Budgeting and Approvals, Lead Management, Event Marketing)

  • Solid understanding of enterprise software deployment lifecycle; ability to adjust and apply this knowledge in a dynamic environment using agile methodologies

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a history of hands-on, detail orientation

  • Ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior executives and technical and non-technical team members alike

  • Solid record of taking ownership and fearlessly leading teams through ambiguity to solve problems and deliver outcomes

  • Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, relationship building skills conducive to collaboration; able to thrive in a cross-functional environment

  • Solid knowledge of Cvent products and features, capabilities, leading practices for deployment and use Deep technical knowledge of Cvent products and features, capabilities, best use and how to deploy (Cvent product certifications a plus but not required)

  • Knowledge of the broader technology ecosystem (MAP, CRM, CDP, Expense, Payments, Travel, etc.)

  • Experience in dealing with large, complex, distributed organizations

  • Able to travel up to 25%.

The estimated base salary range for new hires into this role is $77,000-$105,000 annually + commission depending on factors such as job-related knowledge, relevant experience, and location. We also offer a competitive benefits package, details of which can be found here.
