- Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: Familiar with high school English curricula including state standards and AP course frameworks, and common challenges such as moving beyond summary to analysis, developing sophisticated thesis statements, and integrating textual evidence effectively. Adapts instruction using mentor texts, essay workshops, and discussion-based analysis to support students from general English through honors and AP levels.
- Effective Teaching Methods: Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
