Position Description
Design and Release engineer. Application for underbody structure. Sheet metal (steel and Aluminum) structure component design and release The position is underbody structure Design and Release Engineer. To deliver body structure components and subsystem from start to finish and follow through the production as on going product development (PPD). The parts are front structure, dash cowl, floor panels and reinforcements.
Skills Required:
APQP, AVBOM, Acceptance Testing, Analytical, Analytical skills, Change Management, Change control , Design Release Engineer
APQP - New source supplier parts feasibility confirmation. Stamping and assembly feasibility.
Working with the suppliers to make the parts/assemblies feasible.
AVBOM - This will be in FedeBOM. To be able to follow and keep FedeBOM up-to-date for the responsible components.
Acceptance Testing - Follow through the physical testing of the parts to meet the requirements.
Analytical - Able to make engineering calculations and Working with the CAE groups to deliver the function of the parts for different attributes.
Analytical skills - Able to make engineering calculations
Change control - Present the changes and lead the discussion in Change Control meetings and make all paper work ready.
Design Release Engineer-Cradle to grave owning part and managing the design and maintenance of structure components.
