Job description

Position Title: Custodial Technician
Reports To: Custodial Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Revision Date: 7/2025
Job Summary
The Custodial Technician is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility, including indoor and outdoor areas. This role supports the overall operational efficiency of the site by performing routine and detailed cleaning duties, ensuring a sanitary, safe, and well-maintained environment in compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of all indoor and outdoor facility areas.
  • Vacuum designated areas and sweep, mop, or scrub floors; operate floor scrubber as needed.
  • Clean and sanitize surfaces, including windows, walls, tables, countertops, and cameras.
  • Disinfect and restock bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, dispensers, towels, and soap.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including refrigerators, microwaves, floors, and surfaces.
  • Monitor and restock cleaning supplies for bathrooms and storage closets.
  • Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly throughout the facility.
  • Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to the Facilities Manager.
  • Assist with physical tasks and special projects as assigned.
  • Adhere to all company health, safety, and sanitation policies.
  • Be available for occasional weekend work as needed.

Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of standard custodial procedures and cleaning practices.
  • Familiarity with janitorial equipment and cleaning chemicals.
  • Understanding of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and chemical handling.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm
