Work Environment

As a full-time Physical Therapist, you will work Monday to Friday, with rotating hospital shifts on weekends, fostering collaboration and communication with fellow healthcare professionals. You will interact with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists daily, creating a supportive network that focuses on achieving the best patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for:

  • Evaluating patients' physical condition through detailed assessments, synthesizing findings to develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with physician’s orders.
  • Setting measurable goals and therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patients' functional abilities and promoting their independence.
  • Maintaining comprehensive and accurate records of assessments, treatment progress, and discharge planning, ensuring all documentation meets professional standards.
  • Supervising the activities of Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) and support staff, ensuring effective collaboration and optimization of patient care.
  • Utilizing advanced therapeutic interventions and technologies to gauge their efficacy on patient outcomes, consistently adjusting care plans as necessary.
  • Engaging with patients and their families to provide education and resources that facilitate recovery and promote ongoing wellness.
  • Contributing to a positive team environment by offering constructive feedback and recommendations to enhance departmental efficiency and professional development.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university.
