Job description

Lake Forest Community High School is seeking a Lake Forest High School Student to work as a Student Theater Technical Assistant. This position reports to the Theater Director and pays $15.00/per hour.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist with technology support during school-based events (i.e. lighting, sound, set-up, projection etc.)
  • Work with the Theater Director to understand and prepare to fulfill the requests and needs associated with each event
  • Communicate with the Theater Director regarding issues and/or concerns that occur during events
  • Check-in and out with the adult supervisor at each event
  • Submit relevant paperwork associated with job responsibilities in a timely manner
  • Maintain safe working environment for stakeholders, materials, equipment, and facilities
  • Apply working knowledge of sound equipment and light equipment to the production of the show
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Theater Director
Qualifications:
  • Understanding of audio and visual components
Ability to:
  • Understand and follow basic oral and written instructions
  • Follow school regulations and policies in a professional manner
  • Maintain good working relationships with staff and community members
  • Communicate to supervisors and staff in an acceptable/courteous manner
The work hours for this position vary by individual reservation assignment
Salary: $15.00 per hour
