DESCRIPTION
Job Type: Full-time 40 hours/week (Promotions available if company qualifications are met)
We're seeking an enthusiastic individual who's eager to grow within the company and become an Assistant Manager
Starting Salary: $4200-4800$ per month

Shift :
  • 8 hours/day
  • 5 days a week (40 hours per week)
  • Opening shift (10 am - 7 pm)
  • Closing shift (12:30 pm - 10 pm)
  • Weekend shift and weekday off (2 weekdays per week)
  • Holiday schedule

Experience Requirements:
  • Guest services experience (1 year preferred)
  • Barista experience (1 year preferred)
  • Manager experience (1 year preferred)

Work Location: In-person (2383 Telegraph Ave Berkeley CA 94704)
Day to Day Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate effectively with the shop manager to assist with inventory counting, payroll, and scheduling.
  • Adhere to the client's culture and guidelines, as well as the Health Department's regulations, TP Tea standards, and expectations for tea quality, freshness, and presentation.
  • Greet customers warmly upon their arrival and provide them with drink menus and answer any questions they may have about the ingredients.
  • Take orders meticulously, paying close attention to details such as coffee blend preferences, dairy and sugar ratios, and other customer requests.
  • Prepare beverages according to recipes and serve them
  • Accept and process payments,
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring that the working space is sanitized.
  • Regularly check the functionality of brewing equipment and report any maintenance needs promptly.
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for both customers and employees.
  • Communicate customer feedback to managers and suggest new menu items.

MAJOR DUTIES/FUNCTIONS/TASKS:
Specific duties and responsibilities
  • Training new employees and guiding existing workers
  • Determining budget and resource allocation
  • Resolving issues that arise during shifts
  • Enforcing company policies and procedures and communicating procedural changes to employees
  • Leading team initiatives, such as ones for sustainability or professional development
  • Scheduling hourly employees
  • Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and relaying these metrics to upper management

  • Meet all timelines for payroll, service, accounts receivables, human resources, corporate office, and other client and management-given deadlines.
  • Teach and adhere to TP Tea's philosophy, culture, and commitment to quality tea beverages and exemplary service.
  • Take ownership of the tea and maintain its quality.
  • Have a passion for tea.

Customer Service and Client Relations:
  • Represent the company in a courteous, efficient, and friendly manner in all customer, client, and employee interactions.
  • Respond to all comments and complaints within 24 hours and follow up with a written response to the General Manager.
  • Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
  • Communicate honestly, accurately, and in a timely manner with clients.

Special Events:
  • Assist the Shop Management team with special events as needed, providing staff, culinary, and management presence.
