In this full-time, first-shift position at a thriving community hospital, you will help bring clarity to patient care, revealing life-altering diagnostic outcomes. Your Role - Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and advanced clinical lab tests across various fields, including chemistry, hematology, immunology, and more, while adhering to established protocols.
- Evaluate results meticulously for accuracy, troubleshoot discrepancies, and handle maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments.
- Support specimen collection and meticulously prepare samples for testing when necessary.
- Keep comprehensive documentation of all procedures, assist in training newcomers, and ensure adherence to quality lab standards.
- Uphold a clean and safe working environment while following all regulatory and accreditation guidelines.
- A Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree, along with ASCP/AMT certification preparation.
- Acquisition of ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) within one year post-hire.
- Ongoing maintenance of current certification throughout your employment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities for effective teamwork.
- Independent judgment and problem-solving skills that shine in dynamic and challenging situations.
- Meticulous organizational abilities and a keen eye for detail, ensuring quality control and comprehensive documentation.
