Position Overview

ProActive Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist to join our team in Pembroke Pines, Florida. This full-time position offers an opportunity to provide exceptional care to our diverse patient population in an outpatient setting. Work Environment

This position is prominently situated in our outpatient office in Pembroke Pines, where our team of skilled therapists collaborates closely to deliver high-quality care. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring work-life balance. Flexibility is occasionally required to cater to patient needs and clinical operations, thus providing a dynamic working atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patients’ physical abilities, limitations, and goals to develop tailored treatment plans addressing mobility, strength, and functionality.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities, ensuring they perform movements safely and effectively to promote recovery.
• Educate patients about proper body mechanics, exercise techniques, and home care programs to facilitate ongoing recovery beyond therapy sessions.
• Administer various modalities, including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy, ensuring optimal care as per established protocols.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, tracking metrics such as range of motion, strength gains, and overall functional improvements.
• Maintain organized treatment areas and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are prepared ahead of therapy sessions to ensure efficiency.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, and other healthcare professionals to create cohesive patient care plans.
• Provide emotional support and motivation to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, fostering an encouraging and uplifting environment.
• Adhere strictly to professional and ethical standards, maintaining patient confidentiality and assuring respect for patient rights.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse clientele including children, seniors, athletes, and individuals recovering from surgeries or injuries. Each patient brings unique challenges and goals, allowing you to apply your expertise to make a significant impact on their rehabilitation journey. By building strong therapeutic relationships, you will support them in achieving their rehabilitative goals and improving their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• A valid state license or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• A minimum of one year of relevant clinical experience in a similar outpatient setting is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in specialized modalities such as aquatic therapy, advanced sports rehab, or geriatric-focused intervention is a plus.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient progress and treatment plans efficiently.
• Proven success in patient education and engagement strategies.

Compensation and Benefits

ProActive Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition, our benefits package includes:
