Job description

POSITION: Pool Gate Attendant (end of season)

  1. DEPARTMENT: Aquatics

III. JOB SUMMARY: The primary objective of the Gatekeeper is to greet the members and guests entering the Irving Park and Carlson Farm Pools. You will be responsible for checking-in all members and their guests while maintaining a positive member experience through the delivery of exceptional customer service.

  1. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Greet and sign-in members.
  • Check for accurate member names & numbers of pool patrons.
  • Enforce the Club's pool guest policy.
  • Charge guest fees as appropriate and schedule swim lessons.
  • Maintain a high standard of customer service, extending exemplary service to all members and their guests, including promotion of aquatic programs, such as swim team and swim lessons.
  • Keep an eye on all entrances to the pool and direct members to the sign-in area before entering the water.
  • Upon members' departure, bids farewell and questions their enjoyment at the pool.
  • Keeps the main entrance to the pool clean and tidy by completing daily duties.
  • Is punctual and neat in appearance before beginning each shift.
  • Maintain a positive attitude.
  • During opening, closing, and slow periods, performs and assists duties related to the support staff.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Aquatics Manager or Shift Leader.
  • Maintain a safe environment. This is the responsibility of all employees. Spills and other dangerous conditions must be cleaned or repaired immediately.
  1. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

The gatekeeper must have outstanding customer service skills.

  1. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • CPR/First Aid/AED Certification or willingness to obtain before the season begins.
