Regional Support Professional:

As a Regional Support Professional at The Phoenix Residence, Inc.you'll build relationships, provide person-centered, quality living experiences, and serve individuals with disabilities in need of love and care. Your goal will be to help individuals enjoy life by helping them perform their simple daily functions; meal prep, light exercise, local transportation, social interactions and housekeeping. Your compassion and diligence as a support professional will bring joy into the lives of the clients you work with and help them feel encouraged, involved and loved.

Regional Support Professionals must be positive, quick to help, and remain engaged at all times. Must be willing to take on duties as assigned and help provide training when requested. You will be assigned to a region with a group of 4 homes. Starting wage is $17-$19/hour based on schedule flexibility and availability. Must be willing to work at least one weekend per pay period.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalency preferred.
  • Must be 18 or older.
  • One year of experience working with individuals with physical and/or developmental disabilities or human services related field, preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal, and written.
  • Willingness to provide personal cares for individuals as needed.
  • Ability to coordinate activities and services.
  • Ability to read, write and speak the English Language in order to adequately interact and respond to the individuals and meet their service needs.
  • This position requires a valid driver's license and the ability to maintain a safe driving record. Must be able to pass the van driving class within the first sixty (60) days of employment.
  • Ability to be a Trained Medication Passer, within first sixty (60) days of employment.
  • Ability to be trained in CPR and First Aid within first sixty (60) days of employment.
  • Ability to see and hear adequately in order to make assessments and respond to individuals' needs.
  • Ability to respond to emergencies according to established The Phoenix Residence policies and procedures.
  • Ability to use a computer for required documentation, communication and time log purposes.

  • Phoenix East: Foss (St. Paul), Furness (Maplewood), Howard (Maplewood).
  • Phoenix North: Caswell (White Bear Lake), Centerville (Vadnais Heights), English (Vadnais Heights).

Must be able to work:

  • Every other weekend
  • Mornings, evenings, or overnights
