Job description

Position Summary
A banquet server will fulfill The Pacific Club's standards of execution of banquets. Banquet servers are knowledgeable of Banquet Event Order (BEO) in a timely and accurate process. They serve food and beverages and fulfill member/guests requests in a polished manner. They will perform assigned duties and side work while promoting teamwork and efficiency. They communicate with supervisors to promote an efficient and safe work environment and assure that the best service is achieved in all functions.
Essential Duties
  1. Executes a BEO for their event. Ensuring the event is set prior to its start.
  2. Delivers all food & beverage service on time and with accuracy
  3. Supports the overall success of the department by completing tasks relevant to his/her role at the request of his/her team members or any manager
  4. Adheres to all service standards as outlined in the Food & Beverage Service Manual
  5. Ability to work independently with great initiative, while taking advantage and promoting teamwork
  6. Promotes teamwork with the service staff and bartenders fulfilling customer needs during their dining experience.
  7. Communicates concerns, guests' requests, safety, and personal requests to supervisors in a timely manner.
  8. Is knowledgeable of Club-related information
  9. Adhere to grooming and uniform standards

REPORTS TO: Food & Beverage Director, Assistant Food & Beverage Director, and Dining Room Manager
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Part-Time

$24 - $27 per hour

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of banquet service experience; previous customer service experience a plus.

Required Certification(s)
  • Valid Food Handler Certification
  • Valid Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced team environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and special events.
