Job Description

We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Fairmont Grand Del Mar, as our new Food & Beverage Supervisor.

Responsibilities

Organize and oversee the various outlets. Ensure quality of food, beverage, service and ambiance. Maintain proper staffing and timeliness of various outlets.

  • Operate within Forbes 5-star standards and hold team accountable to these standards on a daily basis.
  • Display a congenial appearance and is well groomed at all times.
  • Assisting the department manager in development, implementation and maintenance of outlet service standards.
  • Training both group and in one on ones to stress service standards, safety, and product knowledge
  • Coordinates all service staff for all meal periods in the outlets during the shift
  • Monitor set up and maintenance of department to ensure all side work is complete.
  • Perform all other administrative functions required and communicate information to the department manager as needed.
  • Work in safe manner at all times and follow all safety procedures as outlined in your Standards of Conduct and Loss Prevention Manual
  • Knowledge of the food and beverage menus offered in the outlets
  • Must be able to correctly ID guests when ordering alcohol either at tables or at the bar.
  • To be able to conduct Safety awareness topics.
  • Assist in organization of back of house storage areas, office, liquor rooms and beer coolers.
Qualifications
  • Ability to prioritize workload.
  • Organization skills and ability to adapt quickly to any given situation.
  • 2-year experience in bar or high-volume restaurant in a similar restaurant/bar environment.
  • Excellent telephone etiquette.
  • Exceptional guest recovery skills.
  • Strong Micros knowledge and experience
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • All of the above to be done fluently in English.

Wage Information

The hourly rate for this position is $30.00.
