Job description

About the Role:
Blazin Chicken & Gyro in Hackensack, NJ is looking for a skilled and passionate Grill Man to join our fired-up kitchen team! If you love working the grill and take pride in delivering bold, delicious flavors, this is the opportunity for you. Responsibilities:
  • Operate and manage the grill station to prepare chicken, gyro meats, and other menu items to order
  • Monitor grill temperatures and cooking times to ensure food safety and quality standards
  • Marinate, season, and prep proteins according to restaurant recipes and standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary grill station throughout the shift
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment during peak hours
  • Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food inventory as needed
  • Follow all health, safety, and food handling regulations at all times
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a grill cook, line cook, or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen
  • Solid knowledge of grilling techniques for poultry, meats, and proteins
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure during high-volume service periods
  • Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper temperature control
  • Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player with a positive attitude
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a hot kitchen environment
  • Food handler certification is a plus but not required
