Student Financial Services manages the receipt, collection, allocation and disbursement of funds for the University through its Cashier's, Revenue Accounting and and Collections units. The Collections unit collects and accounts for student housing, the Perkins Loan program, short-term loans, Revolving Charge Account Plan, third party and general accounts receivables, as well as other student and non-student obligations to the University. Both the Oregon State Department of Revenue and commercial collection agencies are employed in carrying out this mission.
Position Summary
The purpose of this position is to assist students, faculty and staff understanding their bills and financial obligations to the University. Perform various Accounts Receivable functions and to assist students in persisting to graduation.
Minimum Qualifications from Classification
Six months of full-time office experience in collection of past due accounts in which collections was the primary responsibility; OR one year of experience related to collection of past due accounts.
Additional Minimum Qualifications for this Position
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of SCT Banner Student Information module, preferred.
One year general clerical experience

Total Compensation Range & Benefits Statement
The starting salary for this position will be between $18.76 and $20.98 dependent upon qualifications and experience with an excellent benefits package including 95% premium paid healthcare; a generous retirement and vacation package; and reduced tuition rates for employee, spouse or dependent at any of the Oregon University System schools.
