Job description

East Bank Club is looking to add an energetic Shop Associate to our team. Do you love providing outstanding customer service? If so, we have an opportunity for you!

The Shop Associate is responsible for driving a great shopping experience for our members and guests. As a Shop Associate, you will greet customers, do suggestive selling, and process sales transactions while maintaining the appearance and organization of the Shop.

Rate of Pay: $18.00 per hour. This role is considered entry-level.

Schedule: weekends required, plus two weekdays

Job Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers upon entering the store.
  • Utilize selling skills to assist customers with selection by greeting members, building sales by suggesting items, assisting in fitting rooms, and closing sales.
  • Maintain the appearance and organization of The Shop and ensure the displays are well put together.
  • Straighten and organize clothing on racks and walls.
  • Stock Merchandise and advise buyers when merchandise is low.
  • Perform register procedures including but not limited to, issuing gift cards, sale, return, and exchange transactions.
  • Achieve or exceed monthly team store sales goals.
  • Complete any paperwork efficiently and error-free.
  • Develop and build knowledge of the merchandise.
  • Cross training in The Shop Receiving including but not limited to assisting with, checking in, ticketing, organizing, and steaming merchandise.

Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the USA. We use E-Verify.
  • Must be able to provide outstanding customer service skills.
  • Must have excellent communication skills.
  • Must be able to work harmoniously with others.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to stand for sustained time periods.
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
  • Prior hospitality and/or retail experience is highly desired.
