Job description

Position Overview

Behavioral Health Technicians (BHT's) monitor and assist adult clients in the residential milieu, lead activities designed to help the residents adjust to living in a community setting and assist the residents in gaining the skills needed to manage their eating disorder. BHT's play an integral role in the day-to-day function of the clients' experience.

Schedule

  • Full Time 0.8 FTE (32 hours per week) Evening/Overnight
  • Evening Shift: 2p-10:30p
  • Overnight Shift: 10p-6:30a
  • Every other weekend required (Saturday & Sunday)
  • Schedule is made a month at a time with a combination of both evening & overnight shifts

Compensation Disclosure

Starting hourly range between $18.00 - $21.00

Final Compensation offered will be within pay range based on qualifications/experience met for the position

How BHT's Empower Recovery

  • Partners with the multi-disciplinary team on care plan and treatment, assisting in admissions, supporting or assisting clients in programming
  • Participates in therapeutic meals and snacks and provides support during structured outings and recreation
  • Available to engage, challenge, and support residents as needed. Reports observations and documents in charts
  • Monitors and supports bathroom use per client treatment direction. Monitors and documents exercise.
  • Responsible for enforcing appropriate policies with residents and completing all expected tasks including hourly room-checks

Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or GED required with one year of Mental health experience or
  • Bachelors degree in Mental health field with 0-1 year of experience
  • Must have valid driver's license and be authorized to drive
  • Previous direct mental health experience preferred
